About Roberts Elementary PAC

Our school Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)  contributes to achieving the best possible educational experience for students by promoting the involvement of parents and caregivers. You are automatically a member of PAC when you register your child in the school.
The Lord Roberts PAC is a non-profit organization that:
  • Advises the school principal and staff on parental views about school programs, policies and activities
  • Promotes cooperation between the home and the school for the education of our children
  • Assists parents in accessing the educational system and advocates on behalf of parents and students
  • Organises PAC activities, events and programs

Our monthly PAC meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Zoom. Meetings may involve an update from and questions and answers with the principal, voting on spending, learning about school initiatives, meeting a new teacher etc.

We welcome input and suggestions at any time. Messages may be left in the PAC mailbox at the school office or by contacting us on line.

How Can I Get Involved?

Research shows that children perform better at school when their parents are involved. There are many options to get involved with the school:
  • attending monthly general meetings on Zoom
  • joining your Division Parent Chat Group
  • supporting fundraising projects
  • becoming a Division Representative
  • attending a PAC exec meeting or joining the PAC Executive Committee
  • Volunteers are always needed!

Spending as little as 5 hours a year volunteering for the school will go a long way towards making our programs and events possible, and helps you get to know your school community and keep in touch with what is happening at school.

How can I donate money to the PAC?

1 – Donating online
  • You can donate through Cash Online
  • Donations go to the PAC school account through VSB and VSB issues the tax receipt
  • PAC directs the school on how to spend the funds
2 – Donating by cheque
  • Cheques made out to Roberts PAC can be mailed c/o PAC or dropped off at the school to the PAC mailbox
  • Donations go directly into the PAC account and are allocated to any of our budgets by request or by parent vote
  • No tax receipts are issued
