What is the Direct appeal?
The Direct Appeal is the first major PAC fundraiser of the school year (and the only one for which we can issue tax receipts). Calls for direct donations go out to families in October and we set a 30-day window to hit our goal. Funding received from the BC government provides only BASIC learning resources for our kids, so the more money raised via the Direct Appeal, the more student enrichment initiatives PAC can commit to fund this school year.
Where does the Money go?
Our fundraising target is based on responses to the Parent Priorities Survey, staff requests submitted to PAC, and consultation with the Principal. This year we are fundraising for:
How much do we need?
To fully fund all items on our wishlist this year we need to raise $88,500. This is a big goal, but it works out to a donation of just $150 per student.
We recognize that not every family will be able to contribute this much, so please consider donating more if you are able. That said, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and will make a difference!
Donations are not limited to Roberts families, so we encourage you to forward the donation information to family, friends and others you know who might like to lend a hand in enriching our children’s learning environment. The easiest way to do this is to send them to robertspac.ca!
