Thank you to those parents who have already supported our Fundraising Campaigns and Events!

Today is Giving Tuesday - a day that encourages people to give back to their community. We hope you will choose to do good (really good) by going right now to SchoolCashOnline.com: Welcome and giving to support Lord Roberts.

We need your help to increase the number of laptops for our students. BC government funding only covers a small amount of the budget required to purchase and maintain enough tablets and laptops for use by clubs and classes. But we all know how important technology is these days, so we want to ensure our teachers and students aren’t left behind. Your donation will help secure modern teaching tools for the 21st century.  The school currently has 2 full sets for 20+ classes to share, which just not enough, considering charging time in between.

What are laptops being used for in our school?
  • Our new Coding Club
  • Research - some teachers start teaching online research as early as grade one.
  • Learning to type
  • Learning how to do Power Point Presentations -
  • Learning Teams - begins in grade 6 & 7 to prepare them for its large role in their learning in High school

Will you chip in today? SchoolCashOnline.com: Welcome
All donations $20 or more, done thru the link at School Cash Online will receive a tax receipt issued by VSB.

The total cost of one laptop including software and upkeep for its 4/5 year lifespan is $1,000:
  • a set for the coding club would cost $10,000
  • half a class set would cost $15,000
  • a full classroom set would cost 30,000
In 2018, over 70 people donated an average of $150 to the direct appeal for a set of I-pads -  Our goal this time is a FULL CLASS SET

If you’d like to discuss a more significant contribution to fund a whole initiative, please contact our PAC Chair at chair@lordrobertspac.ca.
