Beverage Container Fundraising Drive

This is an easy, ongoing way for families to contribute.

What Are We Doing?
We are collecting refundable beverage containers using Return-It Express, with all funds directed to the Grade 7 Grad Fund.
✔️ Accepted: All refundable drink containers (excluding glass)
✔️ Easy drop-off at Return-It Express locations
✔️ Funds go directly to Grade 7 Grad activities

How Parents Can Participate
There are two easy ways to donate your beverage container refunds:

Option 1:
Create a Return-It Profile (Recommended) Create a Return-It account using this Grade 7 Grad referral link so your refunds automatically support the fund: 👉 https://app.return-it.ca/robertselementarygrade7gradfund
Once set up, any Express drop-offs linked to your account will go directly to the Grade 7 Grad fund.

Option 2:
Use a Phone Number at the Depot At any Return-It Express kiosk, enter this phone number 📞: 604-418-4686
All refunds from that drop-off will be directed to the Grade 7 Grad fund.

How to Submit Donations at Return-It Express

Return-It Express makes drop-off quick and contactless:

1. Place unsorted beverage containers (no glass) in clear or transparent sealed bags (up to 90L).
  • Beverage containers with or without caps are accepted at Return-It sites, but whenever you can, leave the caps on or put them in your Express bag to ensure small plastic pieces are recycled.
  • Do NOT crush your beverage containers, leave them as is.

2. At the kiosk, log in using your phone number (or your Return-It account).

3. Print tags, attach them to your bags, and leave them at the Express area.

4. Return-It will count and sort the containers and credit the Grade 7 Grad fund.

Grade 7 Pizza Friday Collections 🍕
On Pizza Fridays, Grade 7 classes will help collect beverage containers at school.
  • Containers collected that day will be picked up and returned the same day by myself and Grade 7 parent volunteers.
  • This is an additional way the whole school can support the Grade 7 Grad fund. 5. Upcoming Collection Days (More to Come!)

We will also be organizing 1–2 larger collection days on designated Saturdays later in the year.
📅 Details to come in February — for now, we’re focused on getting this ongoing Express return option up and running.

 Volunteers Needed 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️
If you’d like to help with beverage container fundraising, please let me know!
  • We’re hoping to have at least one parent rep per Grade 7 class
  • I’ll create a Signal group to coordinate collection days and school events
