Still seeking nominees for Secretary and Vice Chair We have nominees for all other key PAC Executive positions, but still are looking for people to put themselves forward for the Secretary and Vice Chair roles. Please email Andrea at [email protected] if you would like to be considered. Being in a leadership role on PAC is incredibly rewarding, so please reach out to take advantage of this opportunity to work with an amazing team of people and do great things for our school. If you have questions, please call Andrea at 778-833-4168 and she will be happy to answer them. If you have already put yourself forward for a position, please be sure to attend our meeting on Wednesday so that you are present for the vote to confirm our new Executive team. PAC Annual General Meeting - Wednesday Oct 9th at 6:30pm in the Library (free childcare provided) Come out to hear about the plans for the coming year, to vote for your new PAC Executive, and to meet some new people. Of course our Principal and Vice Principal are always there to answer your questions. Stay tuned on Monday as we will be sending out our new bylaws for you to review prior to Wednesdays meeting if you wish to vote on adopting them. Updating the bylaws has been a huge job that Leanne Dospital has taken on over the past year. Our bylaws had not been updated in years and the only copy we had was a .pdf from 2016 that was covered with yellow highlights and handwriting! A huge thank you to Leanne for helping us to dot our "i"s and cross our "t"s and putting this essential document back in place! Division Rep Meeting at 6pm this Wednesday before PAC General Meeting in Library We are excited to announce that already 17 divisions have had parents step up to be Division Reps this year. Division Reps collect the class contact information and use it to connect the parents/guardians. Some examples of how divisions connect last year include: Sharing about field trip and school supplies, reminders about school fees or other items to bring to school, arranging hangouts for the kids, organizing trick or treating, gathering in-kind supplies for the class and sharing photos from field trips. A big shout out, and thank you, to those who have signed up to be reps. The jobs is surprisingly fulfilling and can take as much or as little time as you have to give it. Check who you division rep is in the list at the bottom of this email! Students will be coming home with sign up sheets for their divisions soon. Please fill out these sheets and return them to your teacher. Reps will collect these and connect with their classes. Those curious about the program, and those who have signed up, are invited to join Vice-Chair Ian Rowe at 6pm Wednesday Oct 9th in the library (right before the PAC general meeting) to ask questions and share. Division Rep List (We still need Reps for all divisions in bold. If this is your child's class, come to the above meeting to learn more or contact Ian at [email protected] for more info.)
