Dear Families,

We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We all have so much to be grateful for, not the least of which is the amazing community of families we are all privileged to be a part of. The PAC Executive team is especially grateful for all of you who have contributed their time, resources and ideas to help improve our school community this past year!

In this issue:

  • PAC AGM details for next Wednesday
  • Coal Harbour / King George school build plans
  • Winter fundraising campaigns launched (Purdy's and Poinsettia's)
  • Winter Market - book a table to sell your stuff.
PAC AGM This Wednesday at 6:30 in the Library - free childcare provided
Come join us this Wednesday the 16th to elect our new PAC Executive, hear about the results of our Annual Parent Priorities Survey, and weigh in on our PAC goals for the coming year. If you are interested in being part of our PAC Executive team, we still need nominees for the Secretary and Vice Chair roles. Please e-mail Andrea at [email protected] to express your interest and get more information.

Updates on King George/Coal Harbour School building plans
If you are interested in staying up to date on how you can get involved/informed about the plans to build a new King George high school, please connect with the KG PAC and plan to attend their meetings on the first Tuesday of the month. http://www.kinggeorgepac.com/about

The Roberts PAC encourages parents speak/write letters to let the City of Vancouver and VSB know how important it is for our West End children to have a new High School built BEFORE the old one is demo'd. (Kits HS was built in stages. With creativity & good design a new school can be built BEFORE the old one is demo'd.) Community and stakeholder interviews are in progress. Please see attached plans for details and who to contact for more information.
