April PAC Meeting

This April join many parents who have  expressed interest in attending our special and important meeting in April (mark the date in your calendar now Tuesday April 7, 6:30pm) an evening of dinner, and parent input on important issues.

PAC will provide food, childcare and more! Details to follow.

Our April PAC meeting will be Tuesday April 7. This allows parents and families to celebrate Passover and Easter with out trying to also fit in a meeting.

Grade 4-7 Track and Field

Our grades 4- 7 Track and Field team starts in April. We need parent helpers for morning practices and to drive to the after school meets (dates yet to be set).

Parent jobs will depend on the day. The help will include: stand on corners of block while kids do warm-up runs, time students in sprints, help set-up and support at long jump area (raking), other tasks as needed. Sign up here

8:00 a.m.-8:55 a.m.: Tuesday and Thursday (April 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30, May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28).

And, if any parent has a special talent in track and field, we welcome their help! Call the school or email Danielle Neer, teacher sponsor: dneer@vsb.bc.ca

VSB and Racism

DPAC Liaison Leanne has been in contact with multiple Trustees to better understand their concert actions to address racism in the district. In March PAC representatives will be meeting with multiple trustees to hear their view points. We will report back as we learn more.

VSB Survey

VSB has launched a survey to understand what parents want out of school facilities. Please take some time to have your voice heard by going to https://build2learn.ethelo.net/

The survey is a bit clunky, but it is worth it. It closes Wednesday, March 11.

Thank you and have a great weekend.
